Weekend!!!

Yayyyy 72 hours of freedom!!!

I went out last night (something I rarely do on a Thursday post-college)....so fun

BUT...today I am super tired and have a very short fuse....

Granted, obscene amounts of coffee always help...but I feel a serious crash coming.

I danced the night away last night, and hope to do so tonight as well...oh how I wish I was capable of napping!!!!

Given the commute, a quick run, and the time it takes to groom, there's simply no time for rest....I hope I don't have an insufferable attitude tonight....oh alcohol...you better bring your a-game tonight!!!

Is Tranny a slur?

One of my homegirls had a "transgender" themed bar crawl a few weeks ago in honor of her Birthday and finally posted the pics...I cannot believe how all-out everyone went!

I don't know if this means we have a great sense of humor...or no dignity....

Please ignore ghost/orb on the left side.

I ended up looking like a retarded gymnast/figure skater, but the group looked awesome! I think the tranny-esque make up was key. I have no creativity in that department, but the girls in the first photo really did a great job.

I couldn't bring myself to purchase shoes for such a frivolous event...but I totally wanted these. Maybe for Halloween....maybe. Who the fuck am I kidding? I'd wear that shit on a regular Saturday night! Delishhhhhhh

Completely off topic....found another sexy pic of Keith Olberman...grr baby, very grr.

I'm going through a black, hey Capricorn day...

Jamiroquai is so underrated. Other than Virtual Insanity and Napoleon Dynamite notoriety, Jay Kay isn't widely known in the U.S. Such a tragedy. Anyhoo, its Thursday, the sun is shinning, and I feel like a million dollars.

I ran some errands on my lunch break today and everything just felt like summer....

Flashdance hot.

I love lookbook. Such a great place for ideas.

Its so cool to see how people all over the world are dressing; especially what trends surpass regions/boundaries and which places embrace certain styles.

Texas to Singapore to Finland...its all so hot right now.

I always wonder how many of these fashionistas are also photographers....some of these images are so awesome!

This girl in Milan has posted quite a few adorable looks...very much on my page, style-wise.

Even crazier are the ages of some of these people...girl below is 15. What the hell was I wearing when I was 15? Pooka beads and Roxy sundresses 99% of the time...that or ill-fitting jeans and JCrew sweaters...no way did I have good style or fully developed my affinity for shoes.

Katy Perry Doppelganger.

;)

What I've been thinking....

Madras.

"This was going to be the first interview where I was going to try to be guarded and detached, not give anything away, and actually I realize that it’s irrelevant. You have to be yourself.…That was a very pivotal time in my life, and I’m happy saying that. It’s a private moment when you get your heart broken for the first time, and that was the absolute antithesis of private. (laughs) It couldn’t have been more public! I had people on the street being like, ‘Ang in there, loov!’ and all you want to do is crawl into a cave and weep for a week. (pauses) I think I discovered a whole new emotional depth that I didn’t have access to before. When you have your heart broken for the first time, you gain depth, and that’s why actors tend to get better with age, I think.”

Underrated.

http://www.overheardinnewyork.com/ What you did before textsfromlastnight.com
Tory Burch and anything she creates.

Crave.

Being more mysterious.....

Holly Golightly. Might be a movie night with ManCandy.

That hair. That bathing suit. Those shorts. Soymilk is better.

What Inspires You?

I always envy people with great style...you know, that something that sets them apart...a certain je ne sais quoi. I love trolling other peoples blogs for inspiration, ideas, and the voyeurism of getting a glimpse of how they live. I am always impressed by what I find....

Now, my personal style is hard to explain/describe. I love the look of old Hollywood...pin-up-esque; Preppy, classic, minimalist with a twist...somewhere in the middle of the spectrum between Gwen Stefani and Dita Von Tease. I own alot of black, love my pearls, and I have a soft spot for turtlenecks, but I love to play with polka dots, animal prints, and pink. Luckily, I find this is easy to transform into professional work attire. However, I'm also such a summer girl. My desire to run around in a bathing suit, jorts, and flops can detract from that "timeless" look I try to achieve.

What I am not, however, is anything that could remotely qualify as "hippie-chic". I love to thrift shop, but I do not gravitate towards anything resembling "classic rock and roll".

Although I loved Almost Famous and think Kate Hudson is a goddess, I cringe at the thought of trying to replicate this look and still be comfortable walking around in public.

I am definitely inspired by the wardrobe in movies like Almost Famous and Boogie Nights (especially Roller Girl), but I still find it very costume-y.

I envy the coolness of Erin Wasson. The tie dye, the accessories, the hair! But this "eclectic" fashion/vision is just something I do not possess.

Although, I never discriminate in the shoe department. I can appreciate beautiful shoes regardless of their style.

Today, I had an epiphany. Meet Krystal Simpson. Her blog http://www.whatisrealityanyway.com/ is amazing. Her style is exactly what I thought I could never pull off. But I'm seriously reconsidering my former ideas about this look that is so perfectly vintage/rocker/California all in one.

Her hair alone is uber lust-worthy, but her awesome ensembles inspire.

I would totally wear this. Granted, this is one of her more minimalistic looks, but I am obsessed with her style.

So, I'm going to be sticking around Wilmo this weekend. As much as it pains me to miss a weekend injuring my liver in Dewey, my bestie is having her Birthday party Saturday night. Not only would I be a total jackass if I missed it, but it should be pretty sick....PDiddy white theme. Poppin that champagne!

My newest obsession. I want this watch so bad. So so bad. There's a Michael Kors outlet at the beach...and it has taken all of my willpower to not go in there. Willpower is fading.....
For the past year, everyone and their mom has been all over the Herve Leger bandage dress. The latest crop is a little more daring and I like it. Dree Hemingway rocks a metallic number. I love this...perfect with the blazer and just the right amount of shine.

Love this one too. Ali Larter looks awesome....the best from her I've seen for a while and uber flattering.
Alexis Bidel isn't a red carpet regular, but wow....worth the wait. Herve Leger is god's gift to women...right up there with spanx and spray tan...I literally think his dresses can make anything look hot. Litmus test for this hypothesis=Susan Boyle.

Lindsey Price is so gorgeous. Please get a stylist. You will look exponentially hotter and, probably get more work. I feel like she is not operating at her full potential.

Not that I give two-shits about Michelle Branch or what she's been up to since 2003, but wow...way to screw up a blazer. Sorry, you got this trend all wrong. Ugh...wtf is up with the tri-color hair? I'm guessing the hideous dress underneath deserves to remain hidden as well?

Frassy. The only person other than myself that does the Charity Challenge: when you're so broke you're basically rolling pennies and you have nothing to wear, the challenge is to find a complete outfit at Salvation Army/Goodwill for under $5.00. If you skip dinner, $10.00. I sooo dig her shoes, geek glasses, bag, and her perfectly messy hair.

Old pic of Charlize Theron filed under "inspiration". I can't remember if it was her body or the dress....but speaking of body inspiration....
Wow. So Olivia Munn did a shoot for Playboy...you know they typical celeb "almost naked" shots, but jesus. No lesbo here, but she really does have an amazing bod; no too thin, not to muscular/borderline tranny, some curves, and honestly, I'm getting hot looking at this. Seriously, this is my summer/bikini motivation. Let's hope P90x can work some miracles.

Karla. She's wayyy more daring with her style than I would ever be, but she pulls it off. I would wear all her shoes though...and these are no exception.

Gossip is Fashion

Its times like this that I'm glad I named my blog something ridiculous rather than something quasi-serious or in-reference to something involving fashion; it allows me to devote entire posts to celebrity commentary without feeling as though I am straying from the focus of the blog. Because, really, anyone reading a blog dubbed "So Hot Right Now" and thinking I take myself remotely seriously should set themselves on fire.

Will.I.am punched gossip-blogger Perez Hilton in the face. When I heard this news, I fist-pumped. Perez has made a career of talking shit on people and upset when karma rolls. And, I would like to highlight the obvious...never call a black man a faggot. You will get punched in the face, you stupid fuck. I have no doubt Will.I.am is completely reasonable. The fact of the matter is, most people do not take being called a vulgar expletive lightly.

"My life, would suck, without food" haha get it? So apparently Kelly Clarkson is tired of the fat jokes. Well, on one hand, I feel her. That sucks everyone makes fun of you, and it sucks that the media is obsessed with celebrities needing to be "skinny" and "hot". But, it's just so easy. Let's compare her on tour in 2006 with an appearance last week. Maybe if your obesity wasn't coupled with the fact that you've been dressing like a blind Sunday school teacher, Hollywood would be less vicious. Same can be said for Jessica Simpson. Yeah, I hear you...I would not someone to be snapping photos of me with a raucous hangover after a late night pizza binge walking down the street in scrubs and a "tri-delt rush 2004" t-shirt. But you know what? I am not efing famous. Hey Jessica and Kelly...you are famous. So don't walk out of the house looking like shit and people will be nicer about the 30lbs you've gained. How about a forgiving wrap dress in a dark color, some large shades, and a nice nude stiletto? If this were a Venn-diagram, capes, moo-moos and daisy-dukes with an elastic waist would all go in the "not slimming" circle.....

I feel worse for Kelly only because she never tried to be Britney Spears or the next sexy pop star with a 6-pack. Jessica Simpson washed a car in a bikini for her music video and did a Rolling Stone cover in her underwear. Don't try to be a sex-symbol unless you're willing to put in the effort.

Guess who's preggers? Tom "I-left-my-last-supermodel-girlfriend-after-she-had-a-kid" Brady better not repeat history.....

Apparently dating? Hey if things don't work out, I know this cute blogger that might be interested.....

I know she's a big bag or crazy, but she looks amazing for 38.

You ass. Chris Brown admitted yesterday that he beat Rhianna, punched her in the face, choked her, and hasn't shown the slightest bit of regret or remorse.

Right, so he punched her so hard, he caused her mouth to fill with blood, and splatter it all over his vehicle.

And the LA prosecutors agreed to a plea that let him walk away without one fucking day in jail. 180 days of community labor in his home state of Virginia. So, when I got caught with a fake i.d. in college (in Virginia) and had to wash fire trucks, the state of California sees the same punishment fitting for a guy that beat the living shit out of his girlfriend. This is why I want to be an attorney....for the state.

I just watched the video for/heard the song "ego" over the weekend. Anyone else think a song about JayZ's schlong is a little awkward? Eh, I digress. Oh, wait....what is she wearing? I think my mom has that shirt. Yeah, she definitely does. She got it on sale at Dress Barn.
