Olsen "O" face

Some of the best.

I will live in outfits like this over the weekend and this summer. Jorts are the most underrated item of clothing ever created.

MK's hair becomes its own entity at times. Hey, at least she experiments with different looks. Pretty hair can get boring after a while (cough, LC, cough). * I was just struck by lightening...* I will never speak such blasphemy again.
Note the teal shoes with all black. I'm a huge fan of the top hat at right.

Awesome Awesome Awesome chartreuse dress. I want that bag.

I think they both pull off brunette very very well. MK always does alot more smokey eye when she is darker.

Pretty hair!!!! They look so chic here.

If I could go back and do prom, that would be my inspiration. I'm totes bringing out the white jeans this weekend.

They know how to do the red carpet so well...a league of their own.

Obsessed with both looks. Hey, Jessica Simpson, see left and take notes.

Gatsby

Baz Luhrmann has signed on to do a re-make of The Great Gatsby!!! Absolutlely Phenomenal. His adaptation of Romeo and Juliet is one of the most beautiful films in the world (in my opinion anyway) and I loved Moulin Rogue (I could pass on Nicole Kidman though...Ian McGregor saved it.) The Great Gatsby is one of my favorite books in the entire world. Yes, yes, I know we (most high schoolers) were "required" to read it, but its such a beautiful story about expectations, the mind's eye, appearance vs. reality, and unrequited love. I actually have a book of Fitzgerald's short stories, which will be my beach reading this weekend since I haven't gotten a chance to get to the library (yes, I said library). Anyhoo, I cannot wait for the film and decided to do my own casting....

The shitty Robert Markowitz version from 2000.

My pic for Jay Gatsby....rage-a-holic Christian Bale, aka Patrick Bateman (American Psycho).

Well, Bale might be too intense....how about a brooding Jared Leto. Totally emo Gatsby.

Narrator Nick Carraway...easy breezy Gabriel Macht. I could eat him alive.

Gatsby appears time to time on the runway...Temperly London Spring 09 anyone? Kate Moss and Marc Jacobs rockin it. A friend of mine had a "gatsby" themed party last winter. I wasn't cool enough to attend, but my friends went all out. Apparently it was just ridiculous.

I just needed another. He's too delicious.

Kate Hudson would be the perfect Daisy Buchanan.

The original film adaptation.

Modern spin on the Gatsby style. Pearls, socks, chiffon.

Beyond Ready....

26 hours until the Beach!!!!!!!

I love retro bathing suits, the ooze sexy. So Hot Right Now.

This will be cocktail numero uno. Should I wait until 5pm? I dunno...we'll see how quickly I get myself to Que Pasa (open-air bar on the bay in Dewey. Killer Margs)

LC. Work it! Do you need a glass of wa-ta?

Me, last weekend at an FOP fundraiser. Food, beer, live Motown music. The Po-po sure know how to party. Awesome weather as well.

Old Mancandy: So, I posted some pics on FB last night...
Me: word.
Old Mancandy: One was a particularlly good shot....
panicked, I had to check to be sure nothing incriminating/too saucy was posted.....
Me: I like. I made it my profile pic. haha.
Old Mancandy: Yeah, great shot of your ass. I guess all that running is paying off....
Me: Yeah, having your camera to capture that moment in particular was pretty on point.
Old Mancandy: I have an eye for these things....

"It's called 'Venti' because it's 20oz...."

Role Models was a fantastic movie (I hope some people got that reference). Oh, so much to discuss.....

Absolute perfection. Sophia Bush looking incredible. I love absolutely everything about this outfit; the shoes, the necklace, the skirt!!! (ok...maybe not the hair....)

I think she kinda always looks like a tranny. Maybe that's why her most recent movie (in which she portrays a stripper) went straight to video...I mean, JT is not the most manly guy. I guess that's the equation then? gyrating metrosexual that sounds like fergie/jesus + uncomfortably manly girlfriend(fiance?)= most seemingly normal couple in Hollywood?

She gots to get off the drugs!....Mischa Barton looking strung out as usual.

Sienna looking hot. A little skinny, but she's definitely working those gray jeans.

Emma Watson. Future fashionista. Can you believe this was once little Hermione from Harry Potter. Girl got some legs...and amazing style for her age.

Allie Crandell from "The City". Surprisingly good.

"Me, I don't smoke. Smoking can be a beautiful gesture for a picture. But it's easy - it's too easy - to make a beautiful picture with a beautiful girl smoking a cigarette. And what is the picture saying, when you have a beautiful girl and she has a beautiful outfit and a beautiful handbag, and a cigarette? No. We have to find a new gesture, I think. Because smoking, it is not good for you. Or for your teeth." Wise words from Carine Roitfeld (Vogue).
Speechless. Ashley Olsen. Best look to date. I die!

Julia Roitfeld. Love this bag!

So simple yet so gorgeous. I want her jewelry.

Everything I Love and Hate About My Life

So I've been commenting here and there about my recent life events; I got a new job (which I absolutely love), I got my beach house (DEWEY!), and I'll be (hopefully!) relocating to Manayunk come August. Thus, I've decided to devote a post to the things that make me ridiculously happy and the few things that make me think my life should be a bad tv sitcom/reality show...

This is what Mama's actually looks like at 2am any given night in Dewey Beach. Mama Celeste has the best pizza. It is magical. A slice or two before bed in your drunken stupor makes you wake-up sans hangover. However, it does not keep you from making regrettable decisions....

Point-to-Point. A Delaware tradition. This pic is from a previous year when it wasn't hurricane conditions. Simple equation: large field + horses + rich people + classy dresswear + copious amounts of alcohol + tailgating + First Sunday in May = Drunken Waspy Mess

The Rickshaw. Greatest. Invention. Ever.

Gew. The line outside the Rusty Rudder on any given weekend in the summer.

Some douchebag taking champagne to the face Suicide Sunday at the Starboard.
Mama, of Mama Celeste. Maker of magical pizza.

Taco toss at Lighthouse....roughly 7pm any given Friday.

When I die, if I go to heaven, it will look like Dewey Beach....(Swede Street entrance)

Jefe (of Burnt Sienna). Pulls girls on stage. Creeper. Kind of hot though. Typical Delaware.

Jam Sesh at Bottle & Cork. I live next door to this madness....

Little kid bar. I got in when I was 17....so did everyone else. Home of the famous locals night...2$ you call its.

The line for Jam Session. Good to have friends who are bouncers...even better to live next door.

Why Delaware needs a sales tax. FML.

WTF? Actual Photo taken in Dewey.

Guilty Pleasures......

for all my professional deadbeat friends....hahaha

Full Moon Brings Out the Crazies....

So my life has been crazier than usual for the last few weeks...not as much awesomeness or work bogging me down, as much as other random commitments and drama. More on that later. Right now sweet Bebe's version of Stella McCartney.....I waaannntttt....

I did find 2 pairs of $5.00 shoes at some random ghetto store down the street from my office. Not quite shoe porn, but definitely hot.

Hair and make-up tips please. Perfect summer look.....speaking of which, my beloved DEWEY BEACH is only 3 days away!!!!!!

Matthew Williamson for H & M. So Hot Right Now. (and affordable!!!!)

Red lips, red nails, short skirt. Sounds like the beginning of a Cake song. Inspiration for the week(end).
Looks like cut-outs are making a come back. yowza.

For whatever reason, I find this oddly sexy...like a Fiona Apple "criminal" kind of way.....

Ash is back out of hiding.......
