My Cherie Amour

I love black and white photography. My bff Anna (although currently on hiatus) is in art and photography classes and is always one with a camera. I vowed to take more pictures this year, but have really only increased for the blog. I get too afraid that I'll lose my camera if I take it out, but those are the moments I always wish I had captured. I'm planning a baller-status weekend of fun (details to come later) and hope I manage to catch some of the debauchery!! Above, the iconic Elizabeth Taylor.

Tragic figure/life and a medium sized bag of crazy, but no one can deny her coolness. Edie Segewick...I highly recommend Factory Girl.

Anna's attempt at an iconic photo for me....my shades are better.....

The sexiest woman that ever lived...Brigitte Bardot.

"Ever girl has this pic in their apartment..." -Mancandy unimpressed with my choice in art. What most men don't realize is that we see this as the embodiment of class. Holly Golightly is what we want to be...to grow up into a classy woman, but retain our wild spirit.

Hotness

Posted by Picasa

Somebody's got a case of the Mondays....

This best expresses how I feel right now...poor, overwhelmed and on edge. I blew a small fortune on my hair Saturday (although it is totes worth it!), had a super busy weekend, aannnd still haven't heard from my dream job which is sending me into panic attack mode. At least I have my shoes.....

Also the looming and shiteous reality that I have 8 weeks until I'm going to be in a bathing suit in 8 short weeks and have been majorly slacking at the gym is making me want to wire my mouth shut. On the bright side, I'm blonde again!!

Sick bathing suit. Where in the world can I find one like this?

My goal.

If this were the standard, life would be sooo much easier. Too bad, because now its like, "Why did I eat that cookie yesterday?"..."Why did I eat that cookie last year?" "I'm never eating goddam devil's cookies again...but they taste so good!"

So Fly.

I'd be happy with this. Alright...8 weeks til Memorial Day!! Summer hurry your ass up!

Pins & Needles

I am almost physically ill over the fact that I haven't heard back from a company on whether they're going to hire me or not. I want to die if I don't get it and the anticipation is literally eating me alive. So I'm thinking of impulse purchases I will make if I do and if I don't get the job.

I will gorge myself on TCBY if I do not get this job.

I will make extravagant shoe purchases if I get this job. Louboutins may be extreme...but I will definitely buy some power heels.

I want that romper. If I get the job, I will buy it. If I do not get the job, I will go tanning, make myself an extra strong cocktail, and lock myself in my closet and cry. Surrounding oneself with clothes (in a closet or in any faculty) is like getting a hug from your wardrobe.

I still really want that romper.

If I do not get the job I will roll pennies because I'm still in the goddamn poor house. If I get the job....http://www.daniellestevens.com/stevens/index.php?cPath=6 I want this sooo bad. Maybe I can get a celebratory piece of jewelry from my faja...my ever-supportive faja. What other Dad checks in to see how your interview went? xo daddo.

Think Tank

While trolling lookbook.com today, I started to wonder if we will ever see the end of the studded everything/distressed to oblivion/Wang-Wasson inspired craze? I like it...alot...don't get me wrong, you cannot deny the looks' badassness, but when will it change?

Sick outfit on lookbook, and not too over-the-top-you-can-see-my-naughty-bits either.

The great debate as to what do you wear under it? Does it still constitute as a sweater? Dawn from Danity Kane does it conservatively.

This whole fashion trend reminds me of what they wore in the post-apocalyptic super campy flick Tank Girl. Anyone remember this? It was based on a cult comic, starring Lori Petty (career suicide), Ice-T, and a baby Naomi Watts.

I suggest googling it at the very least.....rent/watch at your own risk. The costumes though are very very very cool. View on mute maybe?

I own the movie poster. When No Doubt first hit the scene I thought this was the look Gwen was inspired by...no?

2 > 1

What's better than an uber-hot celeb with impeccable fashion sense? An uber-hot celeb doing the horizontal mambo with another uber-hot celeb with impeccable fashion sense...and possibly creating uber-hot munchkins with embedded stylish DNA.

The Original. Posh and Becks did it first, did it best, still do it nasty. Stay in the US...please?

New favs. I loved Good Charlotte wayyy back when (circa 2000). My cousin went to high school with them and I'd go to the shows at these venues no bigger than a broom closet. Needless to say my tastes in music developed and they sold out a bit. BUT, that doesn't take away from the fact that one of my favorite fashionistas is the future of MILF thanks to one of the Madden twins and their tattooed, fun sized, pop-punkiness.

I want to be them when I grow up/fall in love/dress for a formal occasion. Their wedding raised the bar for my own epic fantasy fete brewing in my head.

I want to be them now. Not necessarily the Sienna/Jude ex-coupling, but the character couple, Nikki/Alfie. Wonderful Chaotic Disaster. I want to date a guy that can set the world on fire, even if I get burnt to a crisp in the process.

Not Factory Girl. Edie and Andy. They weren't really a couple per se, but god were they cool.

Doppelganger

First and foremost.....Yotam Solomon. If there were a shoe equivalent of a tantric orgasm...this is it. omfg.

Doppelganger- (orig. German) 1) a ghostly double of a living person, especially one that haunts its fleshly counterpart. 2) a person who has the same name as another, (syn. double, alter-ego)

I have been absolutely obsessed with these shoes ever since I saw the Olsens sporting them.

Lavnin is a shoe god...I shall bown down and worship. Yes... I still get goosebumps when I see them in photos. So Hot Right Now.

JACKPOT!!!! Alice + Olivia for payless $38.00??!?!?!?!?!?! I'm going after work today!!!

Side note: I really miss jorts weather. I just want to rock my jorts!!! That top is sick, p.s.

Aequitas, Veritas

"And Shepherds we shall be. For thee, my Lord, for thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine..." So Boondock Saints is one of my all time favorite movies...and oh so Irish! (Veritas= Truth, Aequitas=Fairness)

Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus....so hot....period.

I highly recommend this movie for today....this or Departed. Sick gun scenes + Boston= St. Patty's?

1.0z pint Guinness + 1.0z shot Baileys + 1.0z shot Jameson
Directions: Fill a pint glass 2/3 full with Guinness. Fill a double shot glass with the Bailey's and Jameson. Drop the shot glass into the pint of Guinness, and chug.

The episode that changed so many lives....Gingervitis.....Daywalker....are now colloquialisms

Even Marc Jacobs gets into the Irish Spirit. I would totes wear these...Celtic Shoe Porn?

Trying to avoid this scenario tonight. I can't wait for this holiday to fall on a non-work night!

The one day of the year Corned Beef sounds/looks appetizing. P.S. Those cupcakes look damn good....Cheers! rather.....Sláinte! (to your health)

Hey Ladies.....

Why can't it be warm yet? I want to wear my jorts so badly....
Tallulah Morton. She's not really one of my favorite models, but she is 1) a hair flipper, as shown above and in several spreads, which is always fun, 2) seemingly normal for being discovered at age 13. I have a small obsession with models/celebs that seem like they're always having a ball and not hung up on themselves/their life. In this spread by Marc Hunter she is pretty damn hot. I like when she's in cobra snake albums too.

Kate has redeemed herself. I am wowed. Those shoes.....I die.

Britney Spears actually looking incredible...I have no idea if this is an older photo though....

Bijou Phillips is breath-takingly gorgeous and has had such an insane life/childhood. Prior to becoming a highly successful model at age 13, and/or singer/actress, she was technically orphaned and homeless due to her inept/insane/drug addicted parents....John Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas and his model wife. She was in the music video for "Wrong Way" by Sublime, followed by roles in Almost Famous, Bully, Tart, Octane, Havoc, and the most gruesome horror scene in Hostel II. Basically....so hot right now.
