Office Lottery Pool....

We (the girls in the office) decided today that we're going to do an office pool for the Powerball every week now. If I were to win anything, guess what my first purchase would be....

YUMMMMM!!!

Dew-mee Beach

I'm taking a vacation day tomorrow to get my life in check/go down the beach a little early and I couldn't be happier about it. Also, I have a sneaking suspicion that I'll be getting hammered tonight. My friend works at Delaware Today, the premier magazine in Del-a-where? and every year the throw a huge bash for the "Best of Delaware". I'm pretty excited since he hooked up ManCandy and I with free tickets and a limo to the event. It's being held at the ultra-swanky CW Harborside (yeah, Wilmington has a few cool places...see photo above) and will be chock-full of free food and booze!!! Party tonight.....
Beach tomorrow!!!!! This pic was from a few weeks ago when we decided a little late night party on the beach was a good idea....until the rent-a-cops chased us away, haha.

This picture also captures my excitement....fiiiinnnalllly getting my hair cut/highlighted tomorrow as well!

Just trying to keep myself busy until the end of the work day....I can't complain though....4 day work week kicks so much ass!

All I want to do Saturday and Sunday is get my sizzle on. LegallyBlonde needs to tan like whoa.

Wish I had that bathing suit and/or looked remotely that good.

Erin knows what's up. Fedora + Longboard=smells like Dewey.

Yay! I found a house!

Finally figured out where I'm going to live! Old City baaaaby!

For those of you unfamiliar with the great city of Philadelphia, Old City is the oldest (duh) most historic part of the city. It's where the Constitutional Convention happened and where the Declaration of Independence was drafted.

It sits right on the Delaware river and has some of the best culture/nightlife the city has to offer.

Across the river is Jersey.

City Hall. I work across the street from this.

If you haven't had Philly Italian water ice, you haven't lived. (great with a splash, or more, of rum!)

Delancy Street (my street!).

Cheeeeeesesteak.

Awesome bars.

And restaurants.

The house from Real World Philadelphia. They were in Old City...too bad the cast sucked.

What's the 411

I am completely addicted to I Love the 90's on VH1. (I Love the 80's too!) Like some of my fellow bloggers out there, born in the 1980's, you remember certain things like cabbage patch kids and the Cosby show, but alot of the pop culture fabulousness is wasted...I mean, I was 5 at the turn of the decade. The 90's however, is very much understood/remembered/scarring. So, let's take a moment and review some of the decade's hotness.

Baby Kate.
Editorial 1994.

Melrose. Gotta love the midriff.

High waist and crop tops making a serious comeback.

Why couldn't they have stayed together?

The original (and only acceptable) 90210. I still think Dylan is sexy.

These shots of Carolyn Bessette sparked my interest in finding better 90's photos.

CBK was a PR/publicist for Calvin Klein in the early 90's. She dressed the celebs and definitely had connections. God, Jennifer Aniston looks soooo different.

Again, the midriff trend. I feel like Carrie Bradshaw still rocked it a few seasons on Sex and the City. I feel like I've seen that hat before too....oh right, Pretty Woman.

I love that floral is making a comeback too.

Big fan of the Fembot hair.

Are turtlenecks super 90's? I really like them...and own like 10 in many dark colors: 3 black, white, brown, navy, dark gray, cream, and 2 of the sleeveless variety. I think they're nice for work....slimming and washing machine friendly, but are they a faux pas?

Vintage Cindy.

I love this look too! Olsens are bringing it back. They've really been pushing the 90's recently; alot of grunge, but Ash rocks the blazer/slim dress-skirt look alot.

More woman suits.

How could I forget the platform shoes! Soooo Cher in Clueless.

More Kate circa 1993.

Some other wonderful things I love about the decade? Slap bracelets, the side pony, straight bangs, lycra in everything, lipstick (the real matte stuff), hightops, chokers, baby barrettes, light denim...even better if cutoffs with lace, shoulder cutouts, and overalls, but with only one clipped.

oh, and the best dance scene ever http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1l5PFs2eTc

Guessing Game

For a while the Olsens had really been developing separate looks.

However, In the photos below I think they look pretty interchangeable.
