Can't you hear the wedding bells? Speaking of which, I'm having a small freak out...What the hell do you wear to a wedding? Do you change if the ceremony (church) is in the morning and the reception at night? What do you wear to the rehearsal dinner? AAAHHHH!!!

I didn't have the time (or desire) to take pics of prospective choices. The winner (thus far) is very similar to above. Strapless, black (with some beige print) chiffon, not too much cleavage, but definitely on the shorter side.
And the time of year is rough...can't be too summer-y, or too fall-ish. Colors are such a hassle. Why can't I own the dress above? Kristen Bell's look would be perrrrffff!
Normally I would just default to black. Can you wear black to a wedding?

Why the hell does my tan fade so fast!??!?!?! It's literally been 3 days and I'm feeling like the walking dead again. (big frowny face) I'm photoshopping all the photos from this wedding to black and white.

I had heard a while back (last month to be exact...duuuh I'm stupid today) Lohan did the cover for Elle uk. I never got around to reading it (aka purchasing it) but found the scans online today. Wow. Let's just say things didn't go well for her, professionally speaking.

ReplyDeleteHmm...all the weddings I have been to (quite a few) have been simple, where the reception happens immediately after the wedding and nobody changes their clothes. I would suggest wearing pastel colors (light pink, buttercup yellow, sky blue). Maybe a nice dress or skirt/top. And I like to wear my hair down at weddings so I can get a little crazy at the reception. Hehe. ;)
i think you'd be perfectly fine wearing a black number like lauren's... oh, and i love kristen bell's dress! i want to own that, even though i have no event to go to haha.

I like having my hair up at weddings only because it gets in the way at the worst possible times. For the dress you chose I'd probably wear it down. I'm sure you'll look smashing either way. Have a great time!
Oh and I love Rachel Bilson's short suit. Perfect isn't it? Well perhaps shorts to a wedding would not be good but other than that, it's perfect.

hahaha. I love your posts. That Linds cover looks amazing but the story reminds me of one that Allure did on Britney Spears a couple years ago (when she was in full-on batshit crazy mode)... they did the photo shoot but couldn't interview her to save their lives.

All I know about weddings is that you shouldn't wear white or outdress the bride. I always wear black, bc it looks good, and if I'm feeling cynical about relationships that day black does double duty... lol
